BuggsBunny :)

Bugs Bunny: Bugs Bunny was nice and a bully at the same time. He was appealing and scary too. He enjoys driving people crazy. I think we all enjoy Bugs because it drove us crazy, but let us have a good as well. It was important because it made us laugh durning the war, and allowed us to have a good time.

LASSIE: Lassie was so important because she set the standards for collies up high. She was like the perfect dog and everyone wanted a dog like her. Everyone agrees that she was an imortant role in life.

Zoey from Zoey 101. Jamie Lynn.... I guess you could say she's intriguing... I dont know if thats for the good things or the bad things she does. Back to Zoey now. She is like a normal high school student that goes to school with guys. She goes through what we go through as drama. She acts like we would act... Sometimes... I think shes important because she tries to set a good example and most of the time she does.(only on the show) She has eposides about handing guys and doing homework and make friends. It also shows the imporants of having friends and being trustworthy. Its about helping them and not stabbing them in the back, which many people need to learn how to do. Many young kids look up to her and want to be like her. Except in real life, shes having a baby and thats HORRIBLE! I mean shes only what.... 15? Who in their right mind at the age of 15 have a baby?! come on now....

Childhood Stories?

Part 1: Why?Why are stories so important to childhood? Why do people read stories to kids? What do the kids get out of this experience? What kinds of things do kids learn from the actual stories and from the experience?
In childhood, stories are very important. They help us develop part of our mind. They help us be creative. Having stories read to us help us create memories with the person who is reading it to us. They help us get close to them. From the story we can learn many different things. We learn about what happens when something goes wrong, and how to have a good time.

Part 2: Why? Later in life...Why do older people (high school and beyond) read stories? What do these readers get out of this experience? What kinds of things do older reader learn from the actual stories?
High school students read to help many things as well. We are still getting our mind to being there and stuff. We learn many different information. We can also getting some ideas for writing a paper or other stories. Reading also makes us not bored. It gives us that we are there and we are expierencing it while being there. It makes it come to life, and it helps us work through out problems.

Part 3: Why? In our nation why are stories so important to our nation? The New York Times best seller lists are one of the most powerful media tools in the world. People flock to by the books listed there. How do stories fit into the fabric of our national identity? How do stories people write create a forum for the discussion of concerns and issues in our nation? What do stories allow people (the writer and the reader) to do?
I think that that nation really enjoys this list because it recommends us what to read. It helps us get an idea of what people enjoy reading and what they think is good. I think that they create discussion because most stories are from one persons take on something. We can all interpert it in different ways. It helps us understand, and see if we agree with what that person said.

Part 4: Your stories What were some stories you remember from your childhood? Why do you think these ones stand out? think of actual books as well as stories you were told orally by people. Whom do you connect to these stories?
One story that I remeber is 'Good Night Moon.' This book stands out in my head because I always had it read to me at night. I would always turn the page and look for the mouse right now. This story I connect with my mom and dad.

Part 5: Characteristics of a well-told storyDevelop a list of 7-10 characteristics that stories should have. Be specific. Do not just say that "stories should have good characters." What makes a character good? Think about what the author should do and how the reader should feel when reading.
Stories should :
1. Good pictures (Lots of color, shapes that kids would know)
2. Simple Words-that we can understand.
3. Something to find: It can be a picture, or a hidden message
4. Life Lesson: lets you learn from someone elses mistake
5. Repeating the problem over and over. helps keep the reader engaged
6. Having a theme will help keep us engaged and want us to read more
7. Conclusion: having an ending is very important, it just closes everything and it makes the story come to an end.
8. It should make you have some kind of emotion after you have read the story.

Writing Territories

2. I like to read short stories. I find that I can finish one and get the whole meaning of it. I think that they are great for just a quick read. As far as wrirint goes, I really haven't done much writing unless its school papers. I think that writing anything except plays would be fun though. I'm willing to try and get some creative products out of my head. I honestly don't writing anything unless it's a school assignment. I would have to say that romance is something I like to read. I like to read about conflicts between friends and what not. I don't write that much, because I really dont like to express my feelings, but hopefully this class will let me be myself.

3.
My grandmother is someone I look up to a lot. My grandma is a special person. Everytime, I go over to her house I always learn something new. She tells me funny stories and memories she has. From her childhood to me sitting on the counter licking the bowl, there is always something I can look forward to hearing when I go over there. Tonight, It was the baby picture of myself on the fridge. I mean, I'm almost 19 and my grandmother has my baby picture on her fridge. I asked her why and she said that she wanted my baby picture to be up next to my senior picture. I guess that kind of makes sense, but I don't know. Another thing that I look forward to is, being able to help her. When I go and see her, I always get to help her. Whenever I help her I always learn something new. Weither where something is comming from or how old is it, I always get the full story on it. Nothing can come close to the relationship between my grandmother and I.

Play Time :)

1. Writing my play was fun and exciting. It was interesting trying to get energy and expressions worked in the play. At the start, I thought that it was going to be hard to get a minimum of 5 pages, but at the end it turned out to be easy. It was easy to come up with what they were saying. Trying to put expressions in, was a little difficult. I dont think that I would ever be interested in writing drama's. I enjoyed doing it for fun, but I could never do it for a job. I don't think that i have the creative mind to do this. Writing television scripts would be interesting. I don't think that its an easy job. It would take a lot of hard work and time to get one to be interesting.

2.
If I could give advice to a child who was 10 years old, I tell them to be different and follow your heart. You don't need to do everything exactly like everyone else. Being different and stepping out of your comfort zone is something that you need to do. Be the kid who goes and makes new friends no madder what race or what they look like. Another piece of advice I would give them is to follow your heart. No madder what people are doing, do what you want to do not what they want. Stick up for yourself. If your heart says go do it, then go do it and have pride when you're doing it.

3.
I think that these words have lasted this long for many different reasons. One reason is that it spread though out the universe and everyone was using it. If everyone uses it, then it will stay around because each generation will hear it again and again. I don't think anything I could every say would stick around and be used for years and years. I think that if you have something that sticks around for years, it would be a great honor and everyone would remember you. Nothing I say would be worth keeping around for that long.

What is the purpose?

1. I think that a purpose and a ending point is important to have in your writing. A great piece of literature needs to have some sort of idea. You can't write a story if you dont have an idea for what it is going to be about. It has to have some sort of idea behind what is going on. It needs to have a climax, where the idea takes place. If you don't have an idea or purpose in your writing, what is the point of reading it? There is no meaning to it. You can't get anything out of something that doesn't have an idea in it. Therefore, theme is very important in writing.

2. A theme that is going to be communicated in my play is self-confidence. I think that many people lack self confidence. In order to be happy in life, you need to be happy with yourself. If you have a negative attitude, you will not have very good self-confidence. In order to be able to act the part you are assigned to, you need to be sure that you know what your talking about, and in order to have that, you need self-confidence. I think it is more important to me than anything because I believe I lack in self-confidence.

3.One conflict that is going to happen in my play, is that the girl will be all alone without any friends. A group of people hanging out together that day, will walk past her. Then one will stop and ask her to join the group, but she didn't stop, she just kept walking. She doesn't have any self confidence therefore, she didn't think she was good enough to hang with them.

Why I think what I think

1. Why is reading so crucial for a writer?
Reading is very crucial for writers. From reading, writers can gain many ideas from what they read. Later on they take the ideas they have generated and then make it into a creative piece of writing. Also, from gaining ideas by reading, it also allows you to learn different things that you didn't know. It helps you relise what is going on in the world today. It allows you to find out information that you would have never known unless you read it. The newspaper has the effect of turning on the lightbulb in your head.

2. What is something that concerns you and why?
Many things today conern me. One thing that concerns me what is happening to the people who have cancer. Each day many people die because of it and right now there isn't a serious cure. One day you could be fine, and then the next you could have cancer. This spreds fast and quick.

3. What art inspires you and why?
I get a lot of inspiration from pictures. From being peaceful to causing comtion. Pictures always make me think of differen things. When I sit and see a pretty sunset, I sometimes want to create a story that goes with it. I feel like theres always a story behind something. Writing a story that goes along with it is always rewarding. They inspire me because you can take them in many different ways. There is never right way or a wrong way to intrupt a picture.
